Yet again, I don’t know where to start. Fangirl is the most relatable book I have ever read [obviously], because Cath, the protagonist, is exactly like us [obviously]. Her thoughts were my thoughts, something I’ve never experienced when reading a book .I’m not going to spoil anything, but I loved Rainbow Rowell’s ‘style’ of writing. She manages to capture Caths thoughts in a way which makes you smile at the resemblance to yourself.
Though, at times, the plot was slightly predictable and the story involved a few typical characters – the sister, the roommate, the attractive male – I would definitely recommend it. Particularly if you enjoy reading, writing [fanfiction], crying over fictional characters or general fangirling. It is also a nice, light read for anybody currently undergoing a ‘book hangover’.
So, to sum up my [rather-sucky] review in one sentence: if you are on our blog, you are most likely a fangirl and therefore should read this book asap; thank you for reading and goodbye.
