'THE FAULT IN OUR STARS' BY JOHN GREEN
TFIOS was an amazing book and was very emotional, I read this book in July 2013 and loved it. John Green is a very talented writer and told the story of two people with cancer falling in love perfectly. The Fault In Our Stars is not just a cancer story its much more than that.
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.
TFIOS is written in past tense - like a diary - from Hazel Grace Lancaster's perspective. I cried so much at this book, nevertheless I am glad that I read this gorgeous novel. John Green is exceptionally good at writing quotes and I think that most people who have read his books will agree. As much as I love John I do think that his books - being contemporary - are duller than most teenage books. If certain characters hadn't of died his books would have been a lot flatter. Although I do enjoy his writing and TFIOS is my favourite stand alone book.
